Vanish Paint and Graffiti Remover is a highly effective and economical solution for removing paints and graffiti from porous surfaces like bare brick, stone, and masonry. This biodegradable remover is ideal for various applications including cinderblock, split face block, and exposed aggregate, as well as natural stone such as limestone, granite, and marble. It's also safe for use on stainless steel, trees, plastics, and playground equipment.

This product effectively removes thicker acrylic paints, paint spills, and large tags applied with tools like fire extinguishers or super soakers. It's recommended for the removal of unwanted, old, or vandalized murals. Alternative uses include removal of adhesive from carpet and tile floors as well as deteriorated graffiti coatings and sealants.

Product Use Instructions

For typical removal jobs on graffiti and other paints:

1. Application: Apply several coats of Vanish using a brush, broom, or spray. Allow at least several minutes of dwell time between coats. For the best results, let the product sit on the graffiti as a wet mess for as long as possible—much like letting a burnt saucepan soak overnight. This extended dwell time helps achieve better results and makes the removal process easier.
2. Agitation: Agitate with a soft nylon brush between coats and rinse with a pressure washer, or scrubbing brush and water.
3. Rinsing: Ideally use 1500–2000 psi with a 15° or 25° fan jet at about 6 inches from the surface. Do not blast or use "turbo" type nozzles which risk doing damage. When rinsing dissolved graffiti with a pressure washer, try to remove a LITTLE of the graffiti from the bottom of the tag without wetting the whole area. If satisfied, then proceed to full scale.

Wash the whole area from top to bottom.

Remember if the remover has not done its job then no amount of "blasting" will fix the problem. Failures are usually a result of not flood coating adequately and not leaving product on long enough and cannot be resolved by blasting too close or at higher pressures.

For removing carpet and tile glue

Apply Vanish liberally and allow it to sit until the glue is dissolved. Scrape up dissolved glue before pressure washing with hot water.

Coverage Guidelines

1 Gallon of Vanish Paint and Graffiti Remover will remove approximately:

• Approximately 200 sq ft per three coats on typical graffiti for concrete surfaces.
• 80–100 sq ft on sandstone, limestone, or other soft absorbent surfaces, or thicker paints requiring additional coats.
